Performance Division: LA REINA TAÍNA Live

Vision: LA REINA TAÍNA Live is the performance and music label division of LA REINA TAÍNA, LLC—anchored by the one-woman stage persona LA REINA TAÍNA, the Sasha Fierce of Ms. Reina CÁMO Basquiat Cemi’no. As a multidimensional artist, she writes, directs, produces, and performs full-length original works that blur the lines between ritual, rebellion, and resurrection.

Each production is an act of radical authorship—an offering to those erased, silenced, or sensationalized. In 2023, her breakout solo work C.T.C., blended spoken word, choreography, and theater to guide audiences through a three-act journey of self-interrogation and healing.

This year, The Autopsy of Joice Heth resurrects one of the earliest known victims of American spectacle: a Black woman enslaved and exhibited by P.T. Barnum. In this solo performance, LA REINA TAÍNA channels Joice Heth’s voice through rap, dance, poetry, and embodiment—reflecting on her own displacement as a Black, Taíno, Transgender woman living under the shadow of a second Trump presidency. The performance draws bold parallels between 19th-century captivity and today’s socio-political oppression, where Trans women of color face skyrocketing rates of homicide, homelessness, incarceration, and erasure.

Clients and venues may book LA REINA TAÍNA for full-length solo performances—such as The Autopsy of Joice Heth—or for single-song showcases of original works like “LUIGI.” and “TOCA CORAZÓN.”

Our vision is to turn performance into testimony—to transform the stage into sacred ground where memory speaks, power shifts, and survival becomes spectacle on our terms. Every spotlight, every lyric, every gesture becomes an act of spiritual and political defiance.
